As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence, brand awareness and improve our marketing and sales efforts\. You will be working closely with the Office of the General Manager, Talent Acquisition, Marketing and Sales departments\. The responsibilities of this position will include: * Build and execute social media strategy through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification\. * Write, develop, and strategize online content production and scheduling * Generate, edit, publish, and share content daily \(original text, images, video, and HTML\)\. * Create and maintain company social media pages and profiles\. * Moderate user\-generated content and messages appropriately, based on company and community policies\. * Implement social media marketing plan\. * Create, coordinate and execute a high volume of social media campaigns for Jacobs news coverage as well as Jacobs events \(candidate forums, classes, small business network sessions, etc\.\) including posting classes, events and photos\. * Measure the success of every social media campaign\. * Define most important social media KPIs\. * Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes\. * Collaborate with other departments to manage company reputation, coordinate promotions, and increase reach\. * Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies\. * Work with graphic designers to ensure content is informative and appealing\. * Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization\. * Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network\. * Produce and manage social media posting on all platforms, including website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google Ads\. * Ensuring engaging messaging and adherence to best practices for each platform\. **Qualifications** BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus six \(6\) to nine \(9\) years of progressive and relevant experience\. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience\. * 6 years of marketing experience specializing in social media experience in technology line of business\. * Corporate experience is a must\. * Experience with copywriting and planning social media campaigns * Excellent verbal, written communication skills and proof reading skills\. * Knowledge of Social Media Management tools like: Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Zoho\. * Knowledge of all social media channels with deep expertise in Twitter, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google Ads\. * Knowledge of MS Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word\. * Ability to work well under pressure * The role also requires the ability to multitask and work with multiple teams to help successfully execute multiple time sensitive news stories and special programs\. * Computer savvy ? skilled in the use of software\. * Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics\. * Good understanding of social media KPIs\. * Familiarity with web design and publishing\. * Critical thinker and problem\-solving skills\. * Team player\. * Good time\-management skills\. * Great interpersonal and communication skills\. * Ensuring engaging messaging and adherence to best practices for each platform\. Desired Skills: * Intermediate skill level in photo editing, Adobe Creative Suite, and Photoshop\. * Intermediate photography experience\. **Essential Functions** WorkEnvironment GeneralOffice environment\.
