Job Summary Dominion Energy Transmission, Inc. is seeking a Gas Measurement Specialist for our Leesburg Station in Leesburg, VA. You will perform all duties related to natural gas measurement and regulation for LDC's. Specifically, you will install, operate, maintain, calibrate, test and repair gas measurement and regulation equipment, as well as use orifice meter gauges and tubes, recording thermometers, pressure gauges, transducers, chromatographs, and flow controlling and pressure regulating equipment. Assist in the solution of problems pertaining to gas measurement and regulation; install gauge lines and piping to instruments, meters, and other gas measurement equipment; prepare and maintain records and reports; make minor repairs to equipment used in the performance of assigned duties, Keep the equipment in safe and proper working condition in accordance with established corporate policies and/or governmental rules and promote good customer and public relations. ***This position pays an hourly rate of $32.50*** Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience You must demonstrate via resume or cover letter that you have met the following Required Basic Qualifications: 1. Minimum 1 year combined related gas industry experience, relevant military experience or other related experience. (i.e. oil, steam, HVAC, plumbing, propane, gas boiler/furnace) 2. Must live within 50 miles of Leesburg Station. Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 1. Ability to operate various electronic and pneumatic devices such as flow controlling and pressure regulating equipment, orifice gauges and tubes, recording thermometers, pressure gauges, chromatographs, and testers, transducers, provers, chromatograph, computers, etc.); ability to install gauge lines and piping. 2. Ability to understand and comply with all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment; 3. Instrumentation and control experience a plus. Education Requirements Required: High school diploma or equivalent Working Conditions Test Description Must pass Aptitude Testing, Gas Measurement Orientation Testing and Gas Measurement Final Test after six (6) months of Gas Measurement Training.
