AT&T is looking for a Senior Systems Administration (SA) expert with demonstrable experience in the Windows server design and management field for a challenging large-scale server environment. This SA manages the entire lifecycle (concept/design/development/production/operations/support/disposal) of all servers and desktops for internal and external stakeholders with systems designed and built for specific support and mission functions. The SA works with key stakeholders to develop VM-based (preferred) or traditional Windows server solutions for specific applications and then manages those solutions through their lifecycle to include technology refresh every few years. The SA configures, troubleshoots, and maintains many Windows virtual and traditional servers and a small community of Windows desktop users across multiple domains. The Server SA Identifies server-centric needs, develops/deploys VM or traditional server-centric solutions, documents each system design and job aids for lower tiered support personnel, tests, and patches systems against known vulnerabilities, configures network services and group policies (GPO), manages DHCP and DNS for servers, and continually finds innovative ways around tough problems. The SA must know and utilize industry standard server management practices to verify servers remain patched, stable, and secure while working closely with information systems security personnel to verify patches and security services get applied on time and in accordance with compliance framework security requirements. The SA candidate must be able to work independently, work well with other team members, be willing and able to learn new technologies, and take on increasing levels of responsibility.The SA shall demonstrate these specific capabilities: Required: 6+ years' experience with managing Microsoft systems and networks effectively and efficiently Required: Windows 2008 R2 through Windows 2016; install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot servers Required: Active Directory GPO configuration and troubleshooting Required: VMware, ESXi, vCenter; installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting Required: Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, SQL administration, Exchange, SharePoint, and file servers Required: Manages daily activities of configuration and operation of Enterprise IT systems Required: Supports monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, etc. Required: Problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution in Windows Server & VMware environments Required: Supports escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers Required: Optimizes system operations, resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning Required: Provides support for dispatch system and hardware problems; remains involved in resolution process Required: Provides detailed internal/external customers for escalated tickets Required: Supports design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware Desired: Disaster Recovery and Contingency Planning technologies planning/management Desired: Ability to lead projects start to finish (design, configure, test, deploy, document) Desired: IT Service Management experience in operational environments Desired: Familiarity with CNSSI 1253 and/or NIST 800-53, Version 4 Six (6) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required. Qualified candidates above 10 years may be considered for Level 3 Lead position and pay. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Required Clearance: Applicant must be a US citizen and have a current TS/SCI security clearance with a counterintelligence (CI) polygraph; must be willing to take and pass a full-scope polygraph upon hire.
