Job DescriptionWe are growing! Comprehensive Health Center (FQHC) in Northern Virginia seeks an energetic and motivated Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Registration Assistance Coordinator!This is a part-time position offering approximately 16 hours per week. Position is responsible for patient customer service as part of a medical/psychiatric clinical care team partnership at our satellite office. This is a great opportunity for STUDENTS looking for PT hours!Our mission is to provide excellent and affordable medical, dental and behavioral health services by being compassionate, culturally competent, and accessible to all.Registration Assistance Coordinator Responsibilities Include:Greets patients and assists the patient to check-in for the patient appointments. Notes time of arrival, time of scheduled visit, and reason for visit. Reviews resource schedule on a daily basis.Reviews new patient registration forms, copies and verifies all insurance information. Collects copayment for services.Monitors patient flow through the clinicfrom the waiting room, to the clinical staff and completion of visit. Works with nursing staff regarding late arrivals, no-shows and cancellations in order to optimize provider time.Proactively addresses patient needs and troubleshoots patient concerns.Assists patients in gathering accurate proof of income or proof of no income, proof of insurance, and proof of identification. Review proof income and size of family household to determine patient eligibility.Enters patient demographics data and income data into EMR system to create patient record.Identifies patients with slide discount expirations and then follows through with completing all steps of patient recertification in a timely manner.Registration Assistance Coordinator Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required. Exemplary customer service skills required. Medical appointment scheduling, knowledge of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) preferred. One year of clinical office experience preferred.
