Position has overall responsibility for developing, implementing and maintaining a faculty recruitment strategy. The successful Sr. Recruiter will locate, identify, and deliver a diverse, well-qualified applicant pool of prospective full and part-time faculty. This will be achieved through the development of local and national marketing and recruitment plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources, as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Sr. Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring the college is hiring the best possible faculty talent.Duties and Responsibilities• Develop and implement faculty recruitment plans for multiple disciplines across the college. • Partner with college leadership to assess current and anticipate future faculty recruitment needs. • Maintain a pulse on the trends in higher education and dynamics of the candidate pool and modify recruitment strategy accordingly. • Serve as the faculty recruitment subject matter expert and continually demonstrate creative sourcing strategies. • Work consistently to ensure a great candidate experience by navigating and overcome any roadblocks in the hiring process. • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees to find best candidates. • Host and attend local job fairs to market NOVA to the community. • Administer job postings and hires in the applicant tracking system (PeopleAdmin). • Provide guidance and assistance to college administrators regarding the full hiring process including successful interview methods and techniques. • Provide consultative services to all levels of management and staff regarding relevant human resources practices, policies, and procedures. • Ensure compliance with State, Federal, System (VCCS) and College (NOVA) policies in the advertisement, screening, referral, selection and hiring of faculty. • Process and track hire actions through the college’s on-boarding system (SilkRoad) • Maintain complete and accurate electronic and paper recruitment files. • Effectively manage time and resources. • Perform work independently and with little supervision.Previous work experience recruiting faculty is preferred. Post-baccalaureate Certificate or Master’s degree in Human Resources. PHR and/or SHRM-CP. Prior experience working with Career Builder, PeopleAdmin and/or SilkRoad is a plus.
