**Description:** Federal Program Officer - Energy Washington, DC area Job Description: ICF is seeking a senior federal energy professional to support a large government program in innovative and complex technology research and development. Positions will be based in the Washington, DC area. **Qualifications** Key Responsibilities: + Lead and support projects analyzing, designing, developing, integrating, training, testing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining complex systems + Supervise technical personnel and teams of engineers, scientists and management professionals involved in life-cycle management support of complex systems + Perform market assessment for complex, innovative and advanced energy technologies, including analysis of commercialization and technology transfer potential, and market opportunities + Develop technology to market analysis and advice, including market research, and competitive and risk analysis + Assist in organizing workshops, including identification and communication with invited participants, preparation of briefing materials, reports, and presentations for both senior government personnel and external audiences **Basic Qualifications** : + PhD in science, engineering, or technology management + 5 years of relevant experience + 3 years government consulting experience (DOE experience highly desirable) + Understanding of early-stage technology development process and technology readiness levels + Expertise in one or more of the following technology areas: + Energy generation + Transmission & distribution + Energy infrastructure and transportation + Energy efficiency + Early-stage financing mechanisms + Demonstrated ability to manage comprehensive project plans, budgets and timelines Professional Skills: + Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills + Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities + Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors ICF offers an excellent benefits package, an award winning talent development program, and fosters a highly skilled, energized and empowered workforce.
