Texas NeuroRehab Center (TNC) provides complex medical and brain injury rehab, chemical dependency treatment for adults and neuropsychiatric treatment for youth. The capabilities of the facility as a whole allow for integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents and adults facing difficult challenges. Texas NeuroRehab is currently accepting applications for housekeeper. The responsibility of an housekeeper is to process incoming and outgoing verbal and written communication to/for employees, patients, families, agencies, and all other persons having business with Brown Schools Rehabilitation Center. Ensure telecommunications equipment is in good working order. The candidate will be responsible for the following: 1. Comply with all Administrative, Clinical, and Human Resources policies and procedures a maintaining a safe work environment. 2. Must actively support the mission, philosophy, and goals for the hospital. 3. Must be able to communicate with sensitivity to growth, development, and cultural issues. 4. Answer multi-line phone system and take accurate messages. Greet visitors, issue visitor passes, initiate appropriate contacts. 5. Supervise mail and communication area and ensure coverage of all areas and hairstylist. 6. Coordinate communication equipment needs/repairs. 7. Facilitate response to emergency codes. 8. Train department employees. 9. Maintain petty cash monies and receipts. 10. Ability to deal with multiple interruptions. Physically able to sit for extended periods of time. 11. Maintains professional demeanor in dress, attitude, and support of unit milieu, hospital mission and philosophy. 12. Other duties as assigned.SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Understanding of public contact, dealing with diverse group of individuals on a daily basis. Ability to organize, communicate effectively in writing and orally in the English language, follow instructions, tolerate interruptions, and work independently with minimum supervision. EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalency. Some college preferred. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current Driver’s License or State issued Id. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year in a customer service position. Switchboard experience preferred. PHYSICAL/GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 90% of the workday is sitting. Maximum lifting is 10 pounds.
