Description: ICF's Organizational Research, Learning, and Performance Division focuses on providing practical solutions and products that address management and organizational challenges for government, public, and private sector clients. We are currently seeking an entry-level Research Assistant interested in joining a growing team of professionals who provide learning, training, organizational development, applied research, and strategic performance improvement services to Federal, state, and local government and private sector clients. Our work ranges from conducting employee engagement research and assessing organizational health for NASA to crafting online and instructor-led leadership development training for a Fortune 1000 casual dining company to developing mobile learning and simulations for the Air Force. Research Assistants at ICF have an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge, gain exposure to major projects, and interact with experts in the field while building content knowledge and consulting skills. The Research Assistant will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high quality solutions and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff. This position is located in Fairfax, VA. Ideal candidates will have experience working on teams, the ability to effectively multi-task by balancing multiple projects at one time, and possess stellar writing and editorial skills. * Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Psychology, Public Policy, Political Science, Liberal Arts, Mathematics, or related subjects with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher * Intermediate or advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Skills, Abilities, and Experiences: * Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, team environment with strict deadlines * Keen interest in learning the foundations of human capital, training, and/or applied workforce and organizational research * Ability to work flexibly and manage competing priorities * Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend solutions * Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis * Experience developing and/or delivering training materials * Experience with analytical writing and presenting formal reports * Superior attention to detail in all elements of work * Superior interpersonal and oral communication skills including an outstanding level of professionalism * Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of internal staff and outside clients * Ability to take initiative and ownership with minimal direction from senior staff * Skill in relevant specialized software, such as MS Project, Access, Visio, Tableau, survey software, Photoshop, or SPSS ICF is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
