Role Summary This position manages supply chain from production through to dealer delivery for the US and Canada. The Distribution Sr. Specialist is responsible for working internally with Bentley Motors Limited, Bentley Motors, Inc., VWGoA Vehicle Logistics, Customs & Finance departments as well as working externally with Port Processors, Carriers and Retailers to ensure seamless supply chain management and proactive process improvements. This position is responsible for the management of vehicle distribution day-to-day operations, delivering KPIs as well as continuously analysing process and system improvement opportunities to ensure Bentley continuously becomes more efficient and effective. Role Responsibilities Manage supply chain from CP8 to Dealer * Manage key vendor relationships and internal departmental relationships across the Group brands including Port Processors, Trucking Partners, Vehicle Logistics and Customs Broker to ensure agreed KPIs are defined, measured and targets are delivered * Manage vehicle prioritization and delivery from CP8 through to Dealer * Manage and monitor the supply chain process flow with ability to highlight opportunities for efficiencies and supply flow improvements through processes and/or systems * Manage the Destination and Delivery budget ensuring cost savings are maximized, including the audit of transport invoices and port operation invoices to ensure amounts reflect agreed contract terms- main point contact for all vehicle movement invoices and payment queries * Publish, update and ensure the standards within the Bentley Carrier Procedure Manual and Port Procedure Manual are adhered to at all times * Manage special moves for new and fleet vehicles to ensure quality, cost and timing is maximized for all vested parties * Ensure regular Port and Carrier audits are conducted with BML per current process and move towards the utilization and alignment with VWGoA Quality * Manage all process improvements per the audit report with the Port Processors and Carrier Partners * Manage all transit damage claims with Dealer, Vendor, BMI and BML * Work with the Domestic Transport Group to maximize Transit Damage process and system * Participate in weekly distribution meetings with Vehicle Logistics to ensure strategic alignment and proactive management of port and/or carrier issues/concerns for Bentley * Manage the ongoing meetings with the Domestic Transport Group for long term strategy alignment including processes and systems across the Group * Manage all air freight requests from bid, award and delivery import and export as required * Front end for any and all customs issues as required through VWoA for all vehicle imports and exports Manage model & MY launch from CP8 to Dealer Delivery * Manage and track all launch vehicles from CP8 with BML Distribution team to ensure vehicles are delivered in line with the launch plan * Manage the coordination of new model and new MY vehicle launches with the support of Sales Operations team, Product, Marketing Communications, Finance and Aftersales * Manage the launch releases with the ports and carriers to ensure sufficient capacity for a successful launch * Manage the communication of vehicle delivery plan to all key stake holders both internally and externally to ensure alignment for success, taking proactive action to resolve obstacles as they arise which may cause unforeseen delays Manage monthly wholesale achievement * Manage wholesale transactions in BOOM ensuring each available vehicle is wholesaled upon availability * Manage day-to-day operations with the port and trucking partners to ensure specific vehicles are delivered and issues are addressed proactively * Review monthly carrier and port KPI performance with agreed actions and next steps clearly documented * Manage monthly wholesale target achievement for the Americas Region and provide weekly forecasts for cash flow planning * Support the management of company stock including the management of port aging inventory by Dealer by Region and work with field team to identify measures to turn aging inventory * Identify opportunities and solutions to increase efficiency as well as volume across Sales and Aftersales for wholesales and retails * Work with the Allocation & Ordering Manager to improve Retailer ordering and balance the number of Zone orders submitted by port based on pipeline analysis * Monitor daily Monroney printing process and resolve issues as required including process flow and/or system improvement initiatives Manage revenue and cost control projects * Manage a port install options project with Marketing, Aftersales, Finance & Sales Operations- management includes the creation of a business case, process flow documentation, procedure manual and system solution scoping * Review the opportunity for a port repair operation with Aftersales & Finance- review includes the creation of a business case and clearly defined action items and next steps Experience * 10 years relevant experience Skills * Analytical and conceptual thinking ?
