We are looking for a senior level HVAC Technician to support our Boeing Team in Chantilly, VA. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Utilize advanced knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations and safety procedures. - Utilize advanced knowledge that demonstrates increased skill level in the HVAC field to include rough-in and lay out, perform preventive maintenance on equipment, and troubleshoot more complex problems. - Use blueprints or design specifications to install or repair HVAC systems. - Connect systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components. - Install electrical wiring and controls and test for proper operation. Inspect and maintain customers HVAC systems. - Test individual components to determine necessary repairs. - Repair or replace worn or defective parts. - Read more complex blueprints and is familiar with building codes. - Responds to trouble calls and resolves problems of moderate scope and complexity. - Demonstrates an understanding of customer service concepts (i.e., courteous, punctual, honest, etc). - Assist other trades as needed. - Will be lifting and carrying up to 35lbs, climbing ladders, walking on a grid platform and on rooftops. - Frequent climbing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, walking and continuous standing. - Under minimal supervision uses hand and power tools to construct, renovate, maintain and repair facilities and equipment. - May receive specialized equipment training as required to maintain facilities. Qualifications This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED and typically 7 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED): - Minimum 7 years HVAC experience- Ability to obtain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) post-start - Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35lbs on a frequent basis - Capable of working flexible schedule/overtime on occasion as needed - Basic computer experience to include Microsoft Office Word and Excel - A current valid drivers license - Current active CFC license DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - A current active Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI Poly)- Previous or current working knowledge of customer - Advanced level of computer proficiency ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 2nd shift hours are 2:00pm 12:30am Experience Level Individual Contributor Job Type Standard Travel Yes, 10 % of the Time Contingent Upon Program Award No Union No Job Code 8AANND Share Email LinkedIn Twitter Facebook
