Position Overview IAM Director will require strong understanding of Identity Access Management (IAM) concepts and trends as well as have relevant IAM business and technical expertise. This leader is expected to be a skilled resource that is strong in both technical and soft skills. The IAM Director must be a proven self-starter with the ability to problem-solve, communicate and participate in diverse project teams from a technical and business perspective while interfacing effectively with business partners, peer groups and vendors. The successful candidate will be a thought leader who has extensive understanding of Operational IAM technologies, concepts, policies, processes, best practices and solutions. The candidate should also have working knowledge of the broader information security field, including the Security threat environment. The candidate will have demonstrated people leadership and management experience and a track record of running successful IAM teams. Candidate must be an independent self-starter able to perform all IAM operational activities with limited oversight. Responsibilities include: * Lead a team of 10+ Security professionals supporting Identity and Access Management Strategy activities and implementation. * Identify risks and ensure IT General Controls and operational processes are in place to mitigate * Ensure operational excellence across all IAM functions in a heavily regulated company * Work with business partners to gather requirements to enhance IAM tools and processes * Participate in all technology deployment activities including design, architecture, configuration and custom development of IAM tools/technologies * Work closely with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering teams to provide input into new technologies being assessed and implemented * Participate in and/or lead User Acceptance Testing of new IAM solutions * Manage a budget of ~$5mm annually * Lead and manage a high-performing team, including but not limited to recruiting and motivating a talented and diverse staff * Remain current on relevant IAM market-related trends, tools, and methodologies. * Work closely with Internal/External audit teams to ensure controls and processes are operating effectively Qualifications * 12+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years managing Information Security teams * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and certifications * At least 5 years' experience managing IAM teams, implementation projects or services * Ability to communicate with technical and executive audiences. * Experience in gathering requirements, developing documentation and assessing information while developing enterprise strategies for IAM * Experience in successfully leading and executing large enterprise complex IAM initiatives from inception all the way to operational support * Knowledge of technology trends and developments in the areas of IAM, and knowledge and experience with formal security and control frameworks such as ISO, NIST, COSO, and ITIL * Security certifications: CISSP, CISM or CISA preferred Closing Statement Today, Freddie Mac makes home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing.
