ICF's government energy practice provides cutting edge advice to clients who are engaged in the ongoing transformation of domestic and international energy and power markets and infrastructure. Examples of our services include: * Power sector modeling and analysis in support of integrated resource and resiliency planning, project financing and development, regulatory policy design, and transmission and distribution system planning; * Evaluating and advancing policy and regulatory options for expanding clean and renewable energy usage/access; energy efficiency; and climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience in the energy sector; * Advising on the structure, regulation, operation, and modernization of power markets; * Building and reforming institutional capacity and business models in the energy sector; * Monitoring and analyzing developments in domestic and international oil and natural gas supply, gas processing, and LNG production; pipeline transmission, underground storage, gas-to-liquids processes; and synthetic fuels and end market uses; and * For refined products and related infrastructure, market pricing analysis, alternative fuels technologies and integration, refinery capacity forecasting, and policy impact evaluation. What You'll Be Doing: You'll work closely with practice leadership to provide, promote, and oversee these types of advisory services to Federal and state government agencies and international development organizations active in the energy sector. Project management and business development activities are both integral parts of the job. Including engagements that are related to long-range resource planning in developing countries. You'll work to position ICF for success with partners and clients, by participating in and leading aspects of the proposal development process. This will include successful prime bids and leading the successful pursuit of resulting task order competitions. You'll also identify, cultivate, pursue and secure energy development opportunities with U.S. domestic, international, and non-U.S. government agencies and non-government organizations. To accomplish these goals, your active participation in and the development of business relationships with prospective collaborators, proponents, and stakeholders on energy projects will be key. . Clients You'll Be Working With: Key clients and markets include the Department of Energy, including the Energy Information Administration and National Laboratories; U.S. Agency for International Development; Millennium Challenge Corporation; World Bank; and U.S. Trade and Development Agency. Opportunities may include short duration international assignments. What you'll need to have... * Master's degree in business, engineering, economics, or energy/environmental studies * Subject matter expertise in energy issues as outlined, including domestic and international markets and regulations with an emphasis on the power sector * 10 years of relevant electric utility experience * Knowledge of power purchase agreements including design issues and risk management mechanisms * Knowledge of business models and markets, and regulations and incentives to adapt to electrification and support renewables and other distributed energy resource investments * Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities * Experience managing senior-level client relationships * Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas (technical and non-technical) * Proposal and RFP experience * Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills * Experience working in developing countries * Ability to travel up to 50% of the time About ICF ICF (NASDAQ:ICFI) is a global consulting and technology services provider with more than 5,000 professionals focused on making big things possible for our clients.
