Engility is dedicated to making lives better, safer and more secure. Description: Engility is seeking an experienced professional to join the Space and Missions Group (SMS). SMS provides specialized program management, engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We support the generation after next of national security-related systems based in space, in the air and on the ground. SMS has an opening for an individual to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services to an IC research and development (R&D) customer. The customer is developing the next-generation of spacecraft architectures, hardware and software solutions for the IC. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide technical support to customer activities Support acquisition, source selection and programmatic processes Review and assess development activities of contractors and Government labs Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, brief government and industry as required Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications Explore new missions, CONOPs, and architectures to solve some of the hardest intelligence and defense problems Qualifications: Bachelor degree in engineering, science, or related discipline Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment Experience with acquisition cycle and requirements processes Experience with schedule, technical and risk aspects of space system programs Good working knowledge of MS Office applications Effective interpersonal skills and strong briefing and writing skills Aptitude for on-site Systems Engineering and Technical Advisor (SETA) work Active TS/SCI clearance Desired Qualifications: Advanced degree in engineering, science, or related discipline Experience with IC or DoD R&D organizations Experience with the IC or DoD acquisition cycle and requirements processes Experience with developing specifications and requirements Experience with space systems design and systems engineering Experience with space systems integration and testing EEO Statement: Engility Corporation is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
